The parable of the prodigal son teaches us:
1. When we as believers pull away from God the father the condition of our heart/mind begins to deteriorate. We must remain connected to Father God.
2. God is always moving towards us with a kiss of fatherly love. 
3. The Father fell on the son's neck and kissed him.  This has to do with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
